In the beginning, there was neither existence nor non-existence. All this world was unmanifest energy. The One breathed, without breath, by Its own power. Nothing else was there...

Swim Season - choosing your perfect fit!

Shopping for swimwear can be a breeze if you are prepared. Your shape determines which swimsuit will look best on you. Swimsuit sizes and styles which will fit your body type depend on your measurements. Let us begin – which body type are you?

1. Measure your hips at the widest point.
2. Measure your waist at the smallest point.
3. Measure your bust at it’s fullest point.

You are: -

1. Pear shaped: If your hips are significantly wider than both
    your waist and bust.
2. Apple shaped: If your waist is significantly wider than your
hips, and equal to or nearly as wide as your bust.
3. Hourglass shaped: If your bust and hips are about the same
width, but your waist is significantly smaller.
4. Strai
ght: If you're slim all around, with not much
difference between your hips, waist and bust.

Based on your shape you would want to choose the right cut/style that will accentuate/eliminate your best/worst features.

• One-piece styles will hide your heavy waist especially if you choose one that is layered or has
gathered panels over the stomach, stick to dark or solid colours.

• An antique style that is high-waisted or belted can also help to hide your waist.

• A tankini will highlight your waist as it draws the eye to the section of skin that's showing. If you are
hiding your hips or bust, choose this style!

• Boyshorts make your hips look wider regardless of colour! If you have large bust and want the hips
to match for a classic hourglass shape, choose boyshorts.

• High-cut bikini (French cut) bottoms make your legs look longer. If you are short or have a long
torso, this is a good selection!

• Halter/ triangle tops draw attention to the bust. Great for taking the attention off your less attractive
   features.

• Tie-front bikini tops draw the eyes to the bust, as well as pull the breasts together, (making them
look larger). If you have small breasts and want them to look larger, this might be a good fit.

• Bandeau tops make the bust seem wider. If you are pear shaped and want to imitate an hourglass
shape, choose a bandeau top with ruffles or any detail.

• If your bust is large choose a straight cut at the top of your swimsuit with wide straps to support the
breasts. For bikini tops choose those with underwire or wide band at the base for extra support.

Choose swimwear for it’s purpose, if you are learning to swim or surf then a string bikini will be floating off in no time. Choose also colours which will complement your skin tone, complexion and accentuate/eliminate your best/worst features. The secret to a good fitting swimsuit is drawing the eyes to the most flattering parts of your figure; this will help you to feel more comfortable as well as looking your best.

1. To accentuate your best features, use bright colours or patterns in that area.
2. To hide your worst features, use dark solid colours.
3. If you have pale skin, use black or deep jewel tones, such as dark purple, navy, and maroon.
4. If you have dark skin, bright colours are more flattering and help to hide your worst features.
5. To add volume (to the bust or hips); choose pieces with ruffles in that area.
6. To hide volume (on the waist); use shirred or rusched fabric.
7. Don't be afraid to buy separates that don't match! You want to highlight your bust but pull attention
away from your hips, buy a bikini top in a bright solid or pattern, and a bottom that's a dark colour,
black, blue or brown (depending on the colours in the top).
